Bruce Loberg called the General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club to order on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Terrell Island Schoolhouse at 6:30 pm.
- Communications
- Brad Winkler is attending Winnebago Fisheries Advisory Council Meeting on 10/14 as Tom Bett could not attend.
- Property/Trail Update
- Breakwall Project – We need to get contracts signed.
- Buildings – House cleaning of the buildings needs to be done.
- Guidepost brochure – Art is making changes this winter to brochure.
- “Fencing Project” is on hold until 2025.
- Jordan will complete Wiouwash Trail Clean Up on Friday, October 18th
- Fundraising
- October Calendar Raffle – All tickets were sold out – profit of $7560
- Old Business
- Strategic Plan – Lawanda will email Jordan the needs and will put into Marsh Talk and mailer for 2025 membership renewal
- Brett Favre Gun – 13% fee to sell gun on auction site. Jordan will put into November Marsh Talk to see if there are any hits on it.
- Town Picture – Lawanda will put new picture up at town hall on Election Day
- Buildings need some house cleaning done. The first building would be the building next to the school house. Table this until Spring once it gets warmer out.
- New Business
- Jordan will send a Thank You out to Eric Hoffman at Omro Building Center
- Nominations
- Kevin Stowe nominated Ken Meier, Lawanda Jungwirth and Ron Jungwirth to stay on board. All accepted. Nominations will also be held in November.
- Parking lot cameras were added to our insurance for $20/year
- The bridge at the parking lot is failing. This will be looked at when the ice comes.
- The club will be getting a Venmo account. Waiting until after November meeting to see if we are switching Banks.
