April 6 General Meeting Minutes

Location: Butte des Morts Lions Club

The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order at 6:30 PM by Bruce Loberg.

Winneconne Town Reporting – No changes to our yearly reporting

·       Guideposts Brochure: Brochure is completed. Getting posts found/replaced is our next project

·       Lift: Decision made to scrap the lift; Ken Meier will work on this in the winter when he can access the lift.

·       Breakwall Project: Fox Wolf is cutting check for $26,151.26

·       Angelo and Tom are working on $440k grant extension. Open water work would not be able to start until August 22nd. $150k grant extension is 8/31/26 so we would have 10 days to use this grant. If we do not get $440k extension, the $150k goes away.

·       Angelo is working on an amendment or new permit for loading seawall. Bruce did send pictures.

·       Inside Rock Removal: Art continues work.

·       Trail Brush Clean Up will need to be done soon – Bruce will send a text out, weather permitting.

·       Wiouwash Cleanup will happen in May (Jordan).

Golf Outing is scheduled for Sunday, August 23^rd

·       Strategic Plan: Seeking leaders.

·       UW–Oshkosh Grant: Art to follow up.

·       Building Cleanup: Shawn Tobar from Oshkosh came to look at the garage and will be getting back to Dave Lux on an estimate later this week.

·       Viewing platform – Ty can no longer do. Bob Radke will get us an estimate so we can start raising funds for this.

·       Auto-Owners Ins Property - $1944.00 on CC

·       Lawanda volunteered to help with the By Law revisions. Jordan will get a start on it.

·       School house clean up needed – Brad Winkler can get truck with water.

·       Pelican Egg Permit – got bounced back to Art. Permit might not happen. Art will be in touch.

·       Green gate closure – Bruce will put a proposal together for a 9pm trail closure.
