The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Terrell Island Schoolhouse at 6:30pm by Bruce Loberg.
- Property/Trail Update
- Looking into other porta-potty prices. Right now, we pay $170/month for 1 porta potty with Ray’s Sanitation. This includes weekly cleanings.
- Breakwall Project –DNR permits are good through 2025. HyWay Landscape will hold prices again this year for us.
- Parking Lot Cameras– All cameras are installed!
- “Andrew Project”: Permit fees are $600. Art will be observing if any major changes occurred. Otherwise, permit application should be in by September 1st.
- Remaining rocks inside the island: Art came up with an estimated 374 cubic yards of rock out there.
- Buildings – House cleaning of the buildings needs to be done.
- Guidepost brochure is complete and can be printed up.
- Lawn Mowing – Looking for volunteers to help cut lawn. Right now, Dave is happy to help Pete out.
- Boards are rotting on bridge at parking lot and needs to be replaced. Will evaluate this winter.
- Fundraising
- Golf Outing –Sunday, August 18th at Winchester Hills. Outing went great. 18 teams – Estimated profit of $4200.
- October Calendar Raffle – Tickets are available. Please take some to help sell!
