September 26 2022 Meeting Minutes

Date: September 26, 2022

The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the School House at 6:33pm by Bruce Loberg. Minutes were read and accepted. Treasurers report was read and accepted.

 

  1. Fundraising
    1. Calendar Raffle – Selling 750 tickets at $20/piece. $200 given away each day, with $500 given away on Saturdays in October. See Jordan for tickets.
      1. Ideas for next year – Get more establishments involved such as Jerry’s Bar, Westward Ho, The Hill, etc. Give them 50 tickets each and have a separate drawing for tickets to our Spring Banquet.
    2. Golf Outing - $1500 net – our goal for 2023 is to get 18 teams and more prizes
  2. Communications
    1. Stacy Frakes – Sturgeon Advisory has not had a meeting since April 2022
    2. Winnebago Fisheries – October 19th meeting that Tom Bett plans to attend
  3. Property/Trail Update
    1. Breakwall – Bruce has a meeting in October with County & DNR to review numbers
    2. Wiouwash Trail Clean Up – Jordan will get date set in October
    3. Boot Cleaner – Thank You to Ron and Pete for installing the Boot Cleaner and Speedy Clean was sent a Thank You for allowing the use of equipment as well
  4. Parking Lot Camera – Bruce is meeting with Brian from Audio Plus on Wednesday, September 28th to see what our options are
  5. Strategic Plan – Ron, Lawanda and Pete will make talked about changes and come back to the club with changes
  6. Invasive Project – Lots of information was found. Next step is to give Dropbox access to Ron and Tom Bett to start compiling information into folders
  7. Guns – Guns are located. Will talk with our attorney about liability of selling guns
  8. Lawn mower – In need of a new one - 46 inch or larger – good working condition
  9. Guest Speaker at October Meeting – Angelo Cozzola, Fisheries Biologist will be speaking at our October 10th meeting

 

Meeting was adjourned by Randy Pointon, seconded by Tom Herbert at 7:40pm. Next General Meeting will be Monday, October 10, 2022 at The Westward Ho – Oshkosh.
