The General Meeting of the Butte des Morts Conservation Club was called to order on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Winklers Westward Ho at 6:31pm by Bruce Loberg.
- Property/Trail Update
- Spring Clean Up to be done when we can
- Breakwall Project – will need to revisit grant due weather for 2025
- Rock Removal project – Andrew Sabi was here to present a proposal for the club using fishing line to eliminate the use of the rock wall by birds. An estimate of $6k to begin in June 2024. However, we are needing to obtain funds for this project.
- Duck Houses – On January 27th, 34 were checked and cleaned. 24 of them had feathers, broken eggs, intact eggs. On January 29th, Landon completed an eagle scout project and replaced 10 houses.
- Parking Lot Cameras – Money is secured. Application sent into Electrical. This will be a Spring project.
- Fundraising
- Spring Raffle – Tickets are here to be disbursed and start selling
- Battle on Bago – Bruce will be attending the Battle on Bago banquet on Thursday and turn our 500 tickets in
- Memberships – Membership renewal letter will be going out in the next week.
Meeting was adjourned by Art Techlow seconded by Ken Meier at 7:11pm. Next General Meeting will be Monday, March 11, 2024 at The Westward Ho.
